Abysmal Specter est un expert ès châteaux : avec Curta'n Wall, il en détaille les fondations (... pour mieux les pulvériser) et avec Old Nick, il explore les cryptes et les objets magiques qui s'y trouvent. Il s'avère qu'il a un autre projet, Bloody Keep, qui lui permet de s'intéresser aux châteaux habités par les vampires. Mais on ne parle pas de ceux au teint blafard : le raw black metal de Cup of Blood in the Top of the Tower est passionné. Un premier E.P. qui donne la couleur : rouge sang !

On dort moins longtemps qu'avant et, entre la lumière des smartphones et des lampadaires, il est devenu plus compliqué pour le vampire Old Nick de nous approcher pour s'abreuver de notre sang, aussi a-t-il lustré son black metal dans les deux albums précédents pour nous charmer. Mais la mascarade est terminée : Crisp Winter Dawn of My Night Moon est un retour au raw black metal de crypte bien crasseuse qui fait saigner les oreilles — ça tombe bien ! Cet E.P. plante ses crocs et il s'accroche !
